Stella stated that the impact of the front wing modifications unfolded as McLaren anticipated, with the team’s performance being vindicated. Despite Red Bull’s good balance in Barcelona, they lacked grip, leading to a disappointing qualifying session for Max Verstappen. Red Bull struggled with consistency in balance, especially on circuits like Barcelona, and the front wing clampdown may have affected their performance. Verstappen acknowledged the good through-corner balance of his car but noted the lack of grip as a significant issue affecting their performance.
