British Touring Car Championship star Tom Ingram believes that Excelr8 Motorsport has found the solution to its Hyundai’s lack of pace on damp tracks. Ingram narrowly missed out on his second BTCC crown in the 2024 season finale at Brands Hatch due to grip issues with the i30 N Fastback. The team worked on setup improvements during testing, like the three-day post-season test at Anglesey and pre-season testing at various tracks in dry conditions. Ingram confirmed progress in addressing the issues during a slippery track session at Snetterton, showing confidence in the changes made by engineer Spencer Aldridge. Despite needing further testing to confirm improvements, Ingram believes they are on the right track to solve the Hyundai’s performance problems.
