Lewis Hamilton stated that the performance of his brakes has been inconsistent this season, making it feel like a “lottery.” During the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend, the Ferrari driver spent most of the first practice session complaining about the brakes over team radio. Hamilton is still adjusting to Ferrari’s Brembo brakes after over a decade with Carbon Industrie brakes at Mercedes.
Although he felt positive after a good first practice session, Hamilton expressed frustration with brake issues that have been a major problem throughout the year. Despite making some performance gains, Hamilton remains uncertain about achieving consistency with the brakes and described it as a “lottery” where results can vary unpredictably. He emphasized the need to work on finding a solution to the brake issues for upcoming races. Hamilton hopes for improvement and is determined to address the challenges posed by the unpredictable brake performance.
