Alex Palou’s impressive performance in the 2025 IndyCar season has solidified his lead in the standings as the Soniso Grand Prix approaches at Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Despite starting in eighth place at St. Pete, Palou secured a victory and carried that momentum in subsequent races, showcasing historic racing standards.
His recent dominance was evident at the Streets of St. Petersburg and The Thermal Club, where he claimed victories, and at Barber Motorsports Park, where he led 81 of 90 laps, securing his 14th IndyCar Series win. Palou maintains a cautious mindset, acknowledging that his winning streak could end at any time, possibly even at the upcoming Sonsio Grand Prix.
While recognizing the slim chances of continual success, Palou remains focused on consistently performing at his best in each race weekend. Despite this, his skills and track record suggest he is a strong contender for another podium finish at the Indy GP, possibly achieving a milestone unseen in American open-wheel racing for nearly two decades.
