Honda will have Aleix Espargaro as a wildcard rider at the British Grand Prix, marking the third consecutive MotoGP weekend with a wildcard rider. Espargaro, as a retired full-time rider turned Honda test rider, will be showcasing his skills at Silverstone with the RC213V in his hands.
Following appearances at the Spanish and French Grands Prix, the 35-year-old noted that there is still work to be done, particularly with addressing a vibration issue that arises during races when pushing the bike to its limits.
Despite Honda’s absence from the upcoming private test at Misano, both Honda and Yamaha benefit from concessions allowing greater testing and development freedom. This opportunity to continuously improve their bikes reinforces the competitive nature of MotoGP and the commitment to enhancing performance.
