Max Verstappen was untouchable on his way to a crushing victory in the Italian Grand Prix, defeating McLaren by almost 20 seconds. Verstappen lost the lead in the early stages but quickly got back past Lando Norris, before cruising into the distance. Norris and Oscar Piastri settled for a lonely second and third; however, McLaren created controversy late on when it introduced team orders. Elsewhere, Oliver Bearman is at risk of a race ban after receiving two penalty points for a collision with Carlos Sainz, moving him onto 10 overall.
