Determined Driver Embarks on Emotional Journey to Honor Michael Schumacher in Nurburgring 24 Hours Race

It’s a throwback to one of the most iconic liveries seen in F1 – but it wasn’t easy to get it sorted.

Former F1 driver Timo Glock detailed the journey of bringing back Michael Schumacher’s iconic livery at the Nurburgring 24 Hours. Glock is competing with Doerr Motorsport, driving a McLaren 720S alongside teammates. The revived livery was a collaboration with German beer company Bitburger, a primary sponsor on Schumacher’s Benetton in the mid-90s. This nostalgic design holds special significance for German drivers inspired by Schumacher. Glock described the emotional impact of reviving a childhood memory and the months-long project leading up to the race. The initiative aimed to reconnect Bitburger with motorsport after a 25-year hiatus through a partnership with a German brand.
