Isack Hadjar’s Miami Grand Prix came to an early end on Sunday with a self-inflicted crash.
Former F1 driver Karun Chandhok is concerned about Isack Hadjar’s performance decline after his crash in Miami, fearing it could lead to a downward spiral.
Hadjar had a tough weekend in Miami, struggling to keep up with teammate Max Verstappen in all the competitive sessions.
Despite a significant upgrade to the car, Hadjar was unable to match Verstappen’s pace during sprint qualifying and grand prix qualifying in Miami.
Chandhok highlighted the stark difference in Hadjar’s form after the car improvement, especially following a strong showing in Japan where Hadjar and Verstappen were closely matched.
After crashing on lap six at Turn 15 in the race, Chandhok hopes Hadjar can recover from the incident and not fall further behind Verstappen as seen with previous second drivers at the team.
