The Alpine Formula 1 team has officially signed Steve Nielsen as managing director at the Enstone squad. The 61-year-old Nielsen, a respected veteran in the paddock, was identified by Alpine advisor Flavio Briatore as the ideal replacement for Oliver Oakes.
