Racing Bulls debuted a striking new livery at Silverstone, designed by Nigerian-British artist Slawn in collaboration with fashion brand Hugo.
The graffiti-style artwork is a reflection of the team’s evolving identity, showcasing a departure from traditional liveries and a fresh approach to engaging fans, even on platforms like TikTok.
Slawn, known for blending Yoruba heritage with London’s urban energy, made history as the first artist to transform an F1 car into a moving canvas at 200 mph, a design that extends to the drivers’ suits and staff kits.
CEO Peter Bayer emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating that Slawn’s unique artistry aligns perfectly with Racing Bulls’ bold image and sets them apart in the Formula 1 paddock.
James Foster from Hugo Boss highlighted the collaboration’s impact in pushing creative boundaries and blending F1 with cultural influences, as seen in the vibrant transformation of Slawn’s community café into the Hugo Race Car Café.
For Slawn, the project goes beyond aesthetics, connecting him to F1 through his son’s passion for cars and reinforcing the message of individuality and innovation that drives both the artist and the team.
