Maverick Vinales looked on course to claim his first MotoGP win as an Aprilia rider before hitting tyre problems at Mandalika.
Vinales had a brilliant start and led the race initially, but soon faced tire degradation issues. His pace dropped significantly after seven laps and he couldn’t fight back as his rivals overtook him. Vinales believes that it’s not the tires, but rather the bike that is causing the tire destruction. He is determined to understand the issue to improve for the next race. Despite the setback, Vinales remains proud of his team and their efforts. Ducati had the advantage in terms of late-race pace, and Martin went on to win the race, while Vinales experienced tire degradation much earlier than expected.
