Revving Up Excitement: Fans Collaborate on Stunning F1 Livery with Williams and Gulf

Williams and Gulf Oil have teamed up for an exciting campaign allowing fans to design a unique Formula 1 livery for the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Driven by Words initiative invites fans to submit words describing what Williams and Gulf mean to them, shaping a bespoke design featuring bold typography and Gulf’s signature blue-and-orange colors. This exclusive livery will adorn the FW47 cars of Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz at the Sao Paulo race. Fans can submit up to five words daily until August 25 on the official Williams or Gulf websites, aiming to deepen the emotional bond between the team and supporters. The campaign follows the success of the Gulf x Williams Fan Livery Vote in 2023 and signifies a long-term partnership based on shared values and ambitions.

Alex Albon plans to submit “Susu,” a Thai phrase meaning ‘good luck,’ while team principal James Vowles may choose ‘heritage’ to symbolize both organizations. Gulf Oil International CEO Mike Jones reflected on the partnership, expressing confidence in Williams’ progress towards podium challenges. The collaborative effort showcases the intersection of fan engagement, creative design, and motorsport heritage in Formula 1.
