Lewis Hamilton topped an FP2 session for the first time since the 2025 Azerbaijan GP with the fastest Friday time in Monaco.
Lewis Hamilton believes his Ferrari team can still improve their performance at the Monaco Grand Prix, despite a strong showing on Friday. Following a competitive FP1 and topping FP2, Hamilton is aiming for his first Ferrari pole position in Monaco since 2019. Despite outpacing teammate Charles Leclerc in practice and qualifying simulations, Hamilton is cautious of rival Max Verstappen’s threat. Hamilton praised his team’s work between sessions but emphasized the need to fine-tune the SF-26 car for the challenging Monaco circuit. With minimal margins for error, Hamilton is focused on maximizing performance ahead of Saturday’s qualifying session.
