The former F1 driver will be making his debut in the upcoming NASCAR race in San Diego.
Kevin Magnussen will be making his NASCAR Cup Series debut for Trackhouse Racing’s Project 91 entry at a US military base, specifically at Naval Air Station North Island in California, on June 21st. He will be driving the #91 Chevrolet Camaro as part of Trackhouse’s one-off entry program. Notable drivers like Kimi Raikkonen and Shane van Gisbergen have previously driven the #91 entry, with van Gisbergen achieving victory on his Cup Series debut before a full-time program. After leaving Formula 1 at the end of the 2024 season, Magnussen transitioned to sportscars. He expressed his excitement and honor for the opportunity to compete in NASCAR, praising Trackhouse’s unique Project91 and the team’s dedication.
