Removed McLaren upgrade set for Monaco GP return

McLaren will conduct further testing on its new front wing in Monaco after quickly removing it from both cars in Canada.

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella confirmed that they will test their new front wing at the Monaco Grand Prix, despite removing it in Canada. The team introduced the new front wing in Canada but removed it before sprint qualifying as it did not meet performance expectations. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri tested the wing at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, with Piastri showing more comfort than the reigning world champion. Both drivers stuck with the previous specification for the race. Stella mentioned that the new front wing will return at Monaco for further testing, utilizing the multiple practice sessions available. The team aims to thoroughly understand the changes and potential benefits before committing to it in upcoming events.
