Antonelli believed he had the upper hand in terms of pace if Russell had not encountered problems, emphasizing the exhilarating nature of their on-track showdown. Reflecting on the weekend, Antonelli expressed satisfaction with the outcome but noted the competitiveness between him and Russell that was unfortunately cut short.
