Revolution on the Racetrack: F1 Star Shocks the World with a MotoGP Move

Well, this is a surprise as after almost 40 years in F1, Ross Brawn is trading four wheels for two.

Ross Brawn has surprised many by moving to MotoGP, joining Pramac Racing’s board of directors in a non-executive role as an advisor to team principal Paolo Campinoti. With nearly 40 years in F1, Brawn played a pivotal role in winning multiple championships with various teams. After a break from F1, he returned as managing director, motorsports in 2017 before retiring in 2022. Pramac sees Brawn’s appointment as strengthening their organizational structure in top-level motorcycle racing. Both Brawn and Campinoti are excited about working together, with Brawn praising Pramac’s organization and Campinoti looking forward to Brawn’s contributions. This move follows another high-profile figure, ex-Haas principal Guenther Steiner, joining Red Bull KTM Tech 3 earlier this year.
