Storming Victory: Unexpected Rain Halts Indy 500

The Indy 500 has been red-flagged on Lap 106 of 200.

Scott Dixon is currently leading the Indianapolis 500 race while it is under red flag conditions due to rain hitting the track as expected. With 101 laps completed out of the required 200 for the race to be official, a caution was prompted by Will Power’s Andretti spinning out after suffering a gearbox failure. During the caution period and pit-stops, Dixon maintained his lead over Ganassi team-mate Alex Palou. If the race does not resume, Dixon will secure his second Indy 500 win, 18 years after his first in 2008. The race restarted after a nine-minute red flag period, with engines refired at 16:35 local time to complete the remaining 90 laps following four under caution, and the current order under the red flag remains unchanged.
