Kimi Antonelli to ‘review’ after throwing teenage temper tantrum in George Russell battle
Kimi Antonelli confirmed his intention to assess the incident with George Russell during the sprint race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, sparking Toto Wolff’s intervention on the team radio.
Antonelli felt frustrated with Russell after a contentious move at Turn 1, where onboard footage suggested he had a case for being unfairly squeezed off the track.
A minor collision led to Antonelli temporarily going off track, and a subsequent bump forced him off into the grass once again.
Despite losing position to Lando Norris, Antonelli attempted to regain ground but had to relinquish it due to track limits violation.
Antonelli expressed his displeasure over the radio, labeling Russell’s actions as “naughty” and advocating for a penalty.
Wolff stepped in to refocus Antonelli on driving, emphasizing internal resolution for the incident.
