Kimi Antonelli crushes red-flag-hit Canadian GP practice as Alex Albon kills wild animal

Kimi Antonelli’s momentum continued in practice for the Canadian Grand Prix.

The Mercedes duo led the practice session with Hamilton and Leclerc in third and fourth, trailing by 0.774s and 0.953s respectively. Due to incidents and time lost, 19 minutes were added to the session. The practice session was red-flagged three times for various incidents involving Lawson, Albon, and Ocon. Antonelli topped the timesheet with Russell close behind, showcasing upgraded Mercedes and McLaren cars. Russell set a fast lap on soft tires before Antonelli regained the top spot with a comfortable lead. Despite challenges from Piastri and Russell, Antonelli maintained his position at the top of the standings.
