Revving up Controversy: Ferrari Condemns Unfair F1 Rule Change Despite Numerous Warnings

A sudden change in regulations has wiped out a key Ferrari advantage, something boss Fred Vasseur is not happy with.

Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur believes the sudden rule changes for F1 race start procedures are unfair to the team. The new rules involve a five-second period with a blue light initiation to reduce lag and ensure drivers don’t fluff their start. In Miami, a further step was added where the MGU-K provides a power boost for slow launches. Vasseur raised concerns about the starting procedure issues caused by the regulations last year, but the rules were changed by the FIA due to widespread concerns. He feels it was unfair to Ferrari as they had developed their engine based on the initial criteria set. Vasseur acknowledged the safety aspect of the changes but noted that it put Ferrari at a disadvantage.
