Seeking Redemption: Max Verstappen’s Teammate Teases Retaliation Post Nürburgring Setback

The Nürburgring 24 Hours ended in heartbreak for Max Verstappen, Dani Juncadella, Lucas Auer and Jules Gounon, after the #3 Mercedes looked set to take victory.

Dani Juncadella believes that Max Verstappen’s debut at the Nürburgring 24 Hours has given enough reason for the four-time F1 champion to return next year, despite a mechanical failure denying their #3 Mercedes victory. The duo, along with Jules Gounon and Lucas Auer, experienced a driveshaft issue leading to disappointment after a dominant performance close to victory. Juncadella highlighted Verstappen’s presence at the race as a way to introduce endurance racing to a broader audience globally. Although disappointed with the outcome, both drivers had a lot of fun during the event. The problems arose soon after Juncadella took over the leading car from Verstappen, with an ABS failure complicating the race. Despite driving without ABS, Juncadella managed to adjust the brake balance and continue racing effectively.
