McLaren announced its latest partnership live on the radio airwaves this morning, 18 May.
McLaren Racing has formed a multi-year partnership with the British media and entertainment group Global, making them the official race partner for both the F1 and Hypercar teams.
The partnership was announced at McLaren Technology Centre in Woking by presenters from Global’s flagship national breakfast shows like Heart Breakfast.
Global, founded in 2007, is one of Europe’s largest commercial radio groups, owning UK radio brands like Capital, Heart, and operating an outdoor advertising business.
The agreement will see Global branding on team radio headsets during F1 race weeks at circuits like Monaco and Silverstone.
Additionally, Global Player branding will appear on McLaren personnel’s headsets during selected F1 races and extend to McLaren’s World Endurance Championship Hypercar programme.
Both McLaren Racing and Global are excited about the partnership, as it brings together their shared focus on performance and engaging audiences on a global platform.
