Check out the Top 20 results from Nürburgring 24 Hours, where Max Verstappen came so close to victory!
The #80 Winward Racing car secured victory in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, avoiding the reliability issues that affected the #3 sister Mercedes led by Max Verstappen. Despite leading most of the race, a broken driveshaft dashed Verstappen’s hopes of winning the race with team-mates Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon, and Lucas Auer. This setback allowed the second Winward Racing car to claim victory, giving Mercedes its first win in the event since 2016. The winning car crossed the finish line well over a minute ahead of its closest competitor, with an impressive lead of over six minutes in the final hours. The #84 Lamborghini and the #34 Aston Martin completed the podium at the Nordschleife, with the former managing to hold onto its position after serving an 86-second time penalty. Former F1 driver Timo Glock faced disqualification and had his racing license revoked during the race for disregarding a slow zone, although his #69 car continued without him.
