Dan Ticktum secured back-to-back pole positions in Formula E’s Monaco E-Prix.
Dan Ticktum rebounded from his major penalty on Saturday to clinch pole position for the second race of Formula E’s Monaco E-Prix, besting Antonio Felix da Costa in the final showdown. The Briton’s pole position was his second of the weekend at the Circuit de Monaco, with Edoardo Mortara and Jean-Eric Vergne lining up behind him on the grid. Saturday’s race victor Nyck de Vries faced a challenging qualifying session, failing to advance to the duels and starting from a position towards the rear. Ticktum, showcasing impressive pace throughout the weekend, claimed a commanding pole position by setting a lap time five-tenths faster than da Costa in the final. The duel between Ticktum and da Costa was set up after Ticktum overcame Drugovich and Mortara, while da Costa triumphed over Barnard and Vergne. Ticktum’s stellar performance in qualifying was in stark contrast to his previous day’s penalty, demonstrating his resilience and speed in the all-electric racing competition.
