A big incident at the end of Formula E’s opening race of the weekend in Monaco has resulted in the FIA being called to take quicker action.

António Félix da Costa has demanded that the FIA improve its monitoring of driver behavior during races after his controversial collision with Dan Ticktum in Monaco. The collision occurred at the Nouvelle Chicane while battling for third place in Formula E’s opening Monaco race. Ticktum was penalized for moving under braking, receiving a 33-second time penalty and finishing 12th from pole position. Da Costa expressed disappointment over the incident, citing Ticktum’s repeated rule-breaking moves. Despite the setback, da Costa expressed his determination to pursue the podium position and criticized Ticktum’s risky driving behavior during the race. Ticktum did not participate in post-race media discussions, leaving da Costa to address the incident and underscore the need for improved race control.
