Charles Leclerc’s Miami Grand Prix disintegrated in front of his eyes — but the Ferrari driver has defended his team for a potentially incorrect strategy call.
Charles Leclerc defended Ferrari following his Miami Grand Prix performance, noting that it’s “easy to blame” his race unraveling on strategy. Despite starting third, Leclerc surged into the lead early on after incidents involving Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen. However, a premature pit stop on Lap 21 derailed his chances, with George Russell successfully undercutting him. Leclerc fought hard to reclaim lost positions but ultimately spun out on the final lap, finishing sixth. Following a post-race time penalty due to track-cutting, he reflected on the race, acknowledging personal errors and committing to team improvement discussions.
