Lando Norris secured a dominant victory in the Miami Grand Prix Sprint race, cementing his position as the second-most successful driver in this format. Starting from pole position, Norris led the 19-lap race from start to finish, with his teammate Oscar Piastri having to fend off Charles Leclerc for second place. Piastri managed to secure second place, while Kimi Antonelli’s poor start saw him slip to sixth place despite finishing fourth on the road. Antonelli received a time penalty for exceeding track limits, dropping him to sixth behind George Russell and Max Verstappen. Russell’s fifth-place finish narrowed the gap in the championship standings to just seven points between him and leader Antonelli. Meanwhile, Verstappen and Hamilton battled it out for position, finishing in sixth and seventh place respectively, with Gasly securing a point for Alpine.
