Kush Maini claimed pole position in F2 qualifying at the Miami Grand Prix, narrowly edging out Rafael Camara in the intense Floridian heat.
Martinius Stenshorne secured third place in the grid-setting session, marking a successful debut for F1’s primary support series in the US.
Alex Dunne finished fourth, with Gabriele Mini and Nicolas Varrone following in fifth and sixth places respectively.
Laurens Van Hoepen and Nikola Tsolov qualified ninth and tenth, earning front-row starts for the reverse-grid sprint race.
Despite setting the fastest practice time, Colton Herta had to settle for P14 after a late error in qualifying.
Unfortunately, Stenshorne’s session was cut short by an engine failure just before the end, prompting yellow flags and impacting the final standings.
