Porsche has named its Formula E Gen4 car the 975 RSE, a nod to 2026 being the 75th anniversary of Porsche Motorsport.
Porsche has officially unveiled the 975 RSE, its car for Formula E’s Gen4 era, receiving high praise from Pascal Wehrlein as a “real eye-opener”. The new car was revealed before the official Formula E Gen4 launch at the Circuit Paul Ricard, with public testing scheduled for the next day. Porsche will share the track with Jaguar and Stellantis in Opel colors, marking a significant advancement for the all-electric series. The Gen4 is expected to match or exceed current Formula 2 lap times, showcasing the evolution of electric vehicles. With a top speed of 335 km/h and 0–100 km/h acceleration in 1.8 seconds, the Gen4 is set to be the fastest single-seater globally, merging racing and road relevance. The focus on efficiency aims to engage fans further, offering faster races and remarkable performance that surpasses expectations.
