Pirelli has detailed the tyre compounds that will be available for use at the upcoming Miami and Canadian Grands Prix.
Pirelli will use the softest tyres, C3, C4, and C5 compounds, at the upcoming Miami and Canadian Grands Prix, where the asphalt is smooth. The C3-C5 range was previously used in Australia, adjusting for thermal degradation and high temperatures. The decision to switch to softer compounds is due to reduced abrasion on the tracks and the need for better grip during heavy deceleration. The Miami race marks the resumption of the season, following the cancellation of races in the Middle East. Last year’s C6 compound, used in Canada, will not be part of this season’s tyre selection strategy.
