Lance Stroll returned to GT racing over the weekend but things did not go according to plan.

Lance Stroll made a challenging GT racing comeback at Circuit Paul Ricard in the GT World Challenge Series, having not raced in sports cars since 2018. Stroll, with his team #18 Comtoyou Racing, faced difficulties throughout the race, cumulating over eight minutes of penalties. Despite qualifying in P15, the team finished in 48th place after a tumultuous six-hour race. Stroll, alongside Roberto Merhi and Mari Boya, encountered penalties for various infractions, including ignoring blue flags and exceeding track limits. However, Stroll’s competitive lap times showcased his potential among top drivers, while another Comtoyou Racing outfit clinched victory.
