McLaren driver completes ‘advanced’ test during F1 break

F2 champion and McLaren reserve driver Leonardo Fornaroli completed his second outing for the team as F1’s unexpected spring break entered its second week.

McLaren’s reserve driver, Leonardo Fornaroli, completed his second test with the team at Silverstone, driving the MCL60 for 68 laps totaling 393 kilometers.

Working with McLaren’s Testing of Previous Cars Team, Fornaroli focused on longer runs with varying fuel loads and tire types during this test session.

Fornaroli expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to drive at Silverstone and further develop his skills in the MCL60.

This test was more advanced than his debut outing in March, allowing him to try different setups and fuel levels to enhance his understanding of driving a Formula 1 car.

Fornaroli stated that he was very pleased with his progress during this test and felt more comfortable with the F1 car than before.
