Discussions are scheduled during the April shutdown among F1, the FIA, drivers, teams, and power unit manufacturers regarding potential changes to energy management demands of new power units due to issues in the first three races.

Carlos Sainz, a director on the drivers’ trade union body, stressed the importance of drivers’ feedback following Oliver Bearman’s accident in the Japanese GP.

Wurz, a former F1 driver, mentioned the abundance of ideas in the class of 2026 and the active nature of the WhatsApp group.

He emphasized the drivers’ passion and interest in improving the product, overshadowing political considerations.
