Max Verstappen drove a strong overtaking race in Australia. Nevertheless, he had it far from easy.
During the Australian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen compared racing in the midfield pack to competing in “Mario Kart”.
He had to start from the back of the field due to a qualifying incident, but managed to finish in sixth place after some impressive overtaking maneuvers.
Despite his strong performance, Verstappen highlighted the chaotic and unpredictable nature of midfield racing, likening it to the popular video game.
He also mentioned encountering issues with energy deployment, graining, brake problems, and steering feel during the race.
Verstappen acknowledged the positives of debuting Red Bull’s new engine branch, but emphasized the need for improvement both in terms of engine performance and car development.
