Colapinto’s Controversy: The Shocking Penalty at the Australian GP

A significant penalty for Franco Colapinto has hurt his chances of points in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

At the beginning of the Australian Grand Prix, Franco Colapinto received a stop/go penalty for a starting procedure infringement.

He was the only driver to be penalised under the new power unit regulations, with several others experiencing slow starts.

Starting in 15th, Colapinto fell to last place due to a pit stop after the penalty.

Before the race began, Oscar Piastri crashed on the sighting lap, and Nico Hulkenberg encountered a start issue.

Isack Hadjar retired from the race on lap 11 due to a technical failure at Melbourne’s Albert Park.
