Fernando Alonso highlights ‘fragile’ Aston Martin ‘risk’
Fernando Alonso acknowledged that Aston Martin will retire his car during the Australian Grand Prix if any issues arise. Team principal Adrian Newey confirmed that the team has only two Honda batteries left, both currently in use. This caution during the weekend is necessary to avoid further battery failures that would force the drivers out of the race. Alonso qualified, while teammate Stroll couldn’t even complete a lap on Saturday. With 58 laps ahead on Sunday, Alonso stressed the need for careful racing due to parts shortage.
