Double qualifying no-show sets Australian GP back row

Pain for these two drivers, who failed to get a lap in during Q1.

Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll did not participate in Q1 at the Australian Grand Prix, meaning they will start from the back of the grid. Sainz’s car issues began in FP3, causing him to stop at the pit lane entry. Despite attempts to fix his car, Sainz was unable to continue, leading to his elimination from the session. Lance Stroll’s absence from qualifying was due to an engine problem that prevented him from completing any laps in FP3, forcing him to start at the back with Sainz. Max Verstappen also faced challenges in Q1 after spinning and hitting the barrier. Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez, and Valtteri Bottas also failed to advance to Q2.
