Isack Hadjar is the latest driver to be chosen as Max Verstappen’s team-mate at Red Bull.
Isack Hadjar claimed that his recent promotion to the Red Bull team doesn’t feel like he’s joined a new team, having been associated with Racing Bulls since his junior academy days in 2021 and progressing through their ranks. Following a successful rookie season in 2025, Hadjar was called up to partner Max Verstappen in the senior squad. With prior practice and test appearances for the team, Hadjar emphasized that working with familiar engineers and undergoing simulator support sessions made the transition smoother. Reuniting with Laurent Mekies, whom he worked with previously, Hadjar expressed comfort and gratitude for the partnership, describing the experience as smooth and fortunate. Having made his F1 debut with Mekies, Hadjar looked forward to what the second season together would bring.
