Lewis Hamilton still does not have a permanent race engineer ahead of the 2026 F1 season.
Anthony Davidson expressed his hope for Lewis Hamilton to have a better working relationship with his new, yet-to-be-named Ferrari race engineer for the 2026 season. Hamilton had initially struggled with former engineer Riccardo Adami, leading to Adami’s reassignment to a different role within Ferrari. The replacement for Adami had not been announced just a week before the start of the 2026 season, leaving Hamilton to work with Carlo Santi temporarily. Santi, who previously worked with Kimi Raikkonen, will support Hamilton until a permanent engineer is assigned. Davidson emphasized the importance of a strong relationship between a driver and their engineer, wishing for a more successful partnership for Hamilton moving forward. Sky Sports will broadcast the 2026 World Championship live from Melbourne, Australia, starting March 6th.
