Isack Hadjar’s tenure at Red Bull did not get off to the smoothest of starts earlier this year.
Isack Hadjar discussed how he dealt with his recent crash while testing the new Red Bull car in Barcelona. The F1 teams convened in Barcelona for a shakedown test with the 2026 cars at the end of January. This test provided Hadjar the chance to integrate with his new team following his promotion to Red Bull after an impressive debut season in 2025. Unfortunately, a mistake during the test caused Hadjar to slide off the track at the final corner and make contact with the barrier. Despite being reminded of Pierre Gasly’s crash at the same corner when Gasly joined Red Bull in 2019, Hadjar managed to move past the incident by monitoring social media feedback. Hadjar is set to partner with Max Verstappen this season, benefiting from Verstappen’s wealth of experience in Formula 1, especially as the sport undergoes significant technical regulation changes for 2026.
