Young NASCAR driver Connor Zilisch made headlines by testing the Action Express Cadillac #31 at Daytona and is a potential fourth driver for the team. BMW revealed the M Hybrid V8 with updated bodywork to enhance drivability. Porsche focused on aerodynamic updates for its Penske entries, utilizing several Evo Jokers for improvements.
Acura introduced subtle aerodynamic updates on the ARX-06, while AJ Allmendinger returned as the fourth driver at Daytona after a hiatus. These changes were facilitated by the shared Windshear wind tunnel for IMSA and WEC homologation work. The Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH faced test issues, highlighting the challenges of constant development in sports car racing.
