Alex Marquez admitted to struggling with his Michelin tires during the Portugal MotoGP race, where he finished second. Despite being a favorite, he had to fight to retain his position due to tire issues. Marquez acknowledged that Marco Bezzecchi was faster and that he had to push hard to keep second place from Pedro Acosta. The Gresini rider mentioned that Bezzecchi’s superior cornering and tire conservation made a difference in the race. Marquez also pointed out the challenging track surface as a factor that caused difficulties, similar to issues faced by Ducati riders in the past.
