Vowles: Albon's Monza F1 drive even better than Montreal performance
Williams Racing team manager Rob Vowles praised driver Alex Albon for his strong performance at the Italian Grand Prix, where he finished in seventh place. Vowles highlighted Albon’s impressive defense against faster cars and his ability to maintain his position. He noted that it was easier to defend in Montreal than in Monza, where overtaking is more common. Despite the challenges, Albon stayed in control and secured a good result. Vowles expressed relief that Williams was able to meet expectations at Monza and emphasized the importance of scoring points at different types of tracks. He considered the seventh-place finish as the best possible outcome and recognized the team’s progress in the championship. Vowles acknowledged that accumulating 21 points so far in the season was a dream for Williams Racing.
