Tech3 KTM rider Enea Bastianini raised concerns about the safety of MotoGP races at Balaton Park circuit after sustaining injuries in a chaotic first lap incident at the Hungarian Grand Prix sprint. Despite Fabio Quartararo’s lunge causing him to crash, Bastianini blamed the track’s challenges rather than the rider. The Italian rider also collided with Johann Zarco due to a malfunctioning device, resulting in a double long-lap penalty. Despite expressing comfort with Quartararo’s apology, Bastianini stressed the circuit’s difficulties during MotoGP’s first lap. Balaton Park’s board member reflected positively on the event, with a focus on the riders’ admiration for the challenging track. Bastianini, optimistic after qualifying well, acknowledged the physical impact of his injuries on his performance in the upcoming grand prix.
