At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton hinted at a “not great” situation in the background, following his earlier remarks about Ferrari needing to “change driver.” After finishing 12th, Hamilton admitted to struggling with his driving performance in 2025. Despite attempting a one-stop strategy, he made little progress in the midfield pack during the race. Encountering traffic behind Liam Lawson, Oliver Bearman, and Isack Hadjar, Hamilton described himself as a “sitting duck” until Max Verstappen pressured him from behind. Hamilton eventually finished just over a second behind Hadjar, stressing that there are ongoing issues in the background but reaffirming his love for racing. Despite a post-race investigation about a move with Verstappen, Hamilton chose not to comment in detail, while Verstappen emphasized that no contact occurred during their on-track encounter.
