Aprilia’s Tenacious Battle for MotoGP Concessions: A Story of Resilience and Determination

The current MotoGP concessions system has two deadlines that determine manufacturers’ concession levels for the next six months, with one deadline at the end of the 2025 season and the other just before the annual summer break at the Czech Grand Prix.

Ducati, due to its dominance, is in the ‘A’ category, while KTM and Aprilia are in the ‘C’ category, and Honda and Yamaha have open concessions in ‘D’.

Aprilia needs 26 points at the Sachsenring and Brno to remain in the ‘C’ category, otherwise dropping to ‘D’, which could benefit their 2025 RS-GP development.

Aprilia aims to move up the concession categories, with team manager Paolo Bonora emphasizing the team’s growth and progress in the MotoGP championships.

Estimates suggest that Aprilia has shown progress lately, with the team currently second in the 2025 constructors’ standings, striving to maintain their competitiveness in the higher concession categories.
