Alex Marquez’s Determination Shines as he Eyes MotoGP German GP Return Post-Surgery

Gresini Ducati rider Alex Marquez is determined to compete in this weekend’s German Grand Prix, despite sustaining a hand injury in a recent MotoGP race in the Netherlands.

As the closest competitor to his brother Marc in the 2025 MotoGP championship standings, Alex underwent surgery following the Assen crash.

His team has confirmed that he plans to participate in the German GP after a recovery period, contingent on passing a medical evaluation on Thursday.

With a 68-point deficit behind Marc, Alex’s primary goal in Germany will likely be to defend his second-place position in the championship against Francesco Bagnaia.

Meanwhile, Luca Marini will make his comeback at Sachsenring after recovering from a Suzuka 8 Hours testing accident that forced him to miss the last three races.

Unfortunately, Honda rider Somkiat Chantra will be sidelined for the next two races due to a knee injury, with Takaaki Nakagami stepping in for the Czech Grand Prix following Chantra’s surgery.
