Lewis Hamilton said Ferrari is “in the mix” at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix following a strong showing at Silverstone on Friday. Despite finishing third in the second practice session behind Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, Ferrari appears to be McLaren’s closest competitor in both qualifying runs and long runs. Hamilton, aiming for his 10th home win in Silverstone, expressed optimism after a challenging start to his Ferrari tenure that required adjusting setups from Friday to Saturday. He felt comfortable right from the start on Friday and acknowledged the positive progress. Hamilton believes a strong weekend is within reach if they can execute their plans effectively. He credited his improved performance on Friday to understanding the car better and expressed readiness to tackle the potential rain forecasted for the upcoming sessions.
