Magnificent Lando Norris Outshines Competitors in Blustery British Grand Prix Practice Session

Lando Norris set the fastest time in a windy FP2 session at the British Grand Prix, outpacing the two Ferraris by a significant margin at the end of Friday practice. Ambient temperatures rose slightly between FP1 and FP2, with the track temperature remaining stable at around 38C. Although the Ferraris showed good pace in the early stages of FP2, Lewis Hamilton initially led on medium tires but was later overtaken in the qualifying simulation runs on soft compounds. Norris ultimately topped the timesheets with a solid margin over Leclerc, while Hamilton and Leclerc battled to close the gap but could not match Norris’ pace in the 1m25s range. Carlos Sainz spun due to a gust of wind, causing a brief moment of concern as he nearly hit Hamilton’s car, and later faced an investigation for rejoining the track unsafely.
